It was a beautiful sunny morning, in a city no other than Sydney. A place vastly known for its grassy hilltops, enchanting cityscapes, and of course, golden sunny weather.
But this isn’t about any of those things. Rather, this story is about one of the most brilliant, fun, and exciting weddings we’ve ever been to – the holy matrimony of Andrew and Jenifer, two lifetime lovebirds who finally tied the knot.
This whirlwind of a wedding happened on the Saturday of July 6th. Andrew and Jenifer, who was kind enough to trust Arla Productions to cover their wedding day, flew our wedding team to Sydney and – to put it simply – held a fantastic day of celebrations.
It started with your typical morning preparations – brides and bridesmaids seated in a hotel room. Makeup products scattered on tables. Fluorescent lights from all separate angles. And amidst the mess, sits Jenifer, a beautiful, ready bride.
Jenifer is a breath of fresh air – she is cheerful, bubbly, and a kindhearted girl in what would soon be the best day of her life. In the hotel, we spent time chatting with both sides of the party, bride and groom. It didn’t take long for us to notice that this was a dynamic, fun-loving group of people!
The chemistry shared between everyone – the bride and groom, the bridesmaid and groomsmen – was something we couldn’t put into words. It was heartwarming, supportive, and a lighthearted energy that just felt like they were born ready for this very moment.
After morning preparations, our team, along with the bridal party, headed for the church, where both Andrew and Jenifer signed the papers and exchanged their vows. It was official! And oh, what a full house it was. Seeing such genuine, happy faces from every corner of the room, our hearts were delighted. The day briskly continued in celebrations.
Our team took the opportunity to head to the Sydney Observatory – a hilltop view showing the magnificent Harbour Bridge in the background, and bits of Sydney’s finest looking streets. It was truly a sight to see.
As with any other couple, Andrew and Jenifer was sweetly enjoying their day together. They had been a couple for many, many years – even in the church, there were photos of their earlier days, being so young and already in love with each other.
Celebrating the day along side them are some high-energy best friends, also having the time of their lives. We had the absolute honour of joining in the massive excitement. Even through some mishaps – like the wedding dress being slightly torn during their church ceremony! – both the bride and everyone else handled it flawlessly.
After the photoshoot at the Sydney Observatory, we walked through a random cobblestone path leading our way back. Our team saw the trees, the brick wall setting, and the perfect sunlight peeking from behind them and thought, Stop! Stop here! It was one of the most fantastic decisions we’ve made.
In this little alley, their whole cheerful energy shone through. As music played, and a guitar strummed, the group of friends laughed and danced their way to the beat. Not to mention a “pop the champagne” moment, unmissable in such a special, perfect day. We were only less than 15 people in a small alleyway, but it felt like it could’ve been a party in itself. With champagne glasses and wide, carefree smiles, the group enjoyed themselves, perfectly set underneath a golden light.
The fun hadn’t stopped there. When the evening came, it was time for the night time festivities, with a venue by the Darling Harbour. Our beloved bride and groom entered the reception hall, with the BFFs following along by their side, in an adorable choreographed number. The whole room erupted with shouts of cheer. Everyone was in awe, and ready for a fun night!
And a fun, fun night it was. With dancing, singing, some laughs, some tears, and many cherished moments – for the two, for everyone there, and even for us, who still feel so lucky to have been a part of it. Our team would like to thank Andrew and Jen for their trust, and wish them all the happiness (and even more, if that’s even possible!)
Many people may wonder if weddings get tiring – time and time again, they wonder, Are you ever bored of it?
But in days like these, and in other days we get to be a part of, we can honestly say, it’s never a chore. To be able to experience such strong love that floats in the air from morning to midnight. To be able to see, and capture, pure, raw emotions, from such a special occasion. To be able to help people celebrate, and help them treasure these memories for years and years to come.
Here in Arla, we say, it is never a chore. It’s always an honour, always a joy, and we’re having the time of our lives doing it.
