Out of the many wonderful weddings our team has attended this year, Jonathan and Cynthia’s are undoubtedly one of the most memorable.
Their story is one of our favourite kinds. The kind that travels all the way back in time, to high school, where both of them were only so young and carefree, yet already in love. As high school sweethearts, Jonathan and Cynthia also had their fair share of amazing best friends. So when the invitation was sent out, their high school friends from all across so many places flew down to the heart of Melbourne to not miss a chance in reuniting and celebrating their joyous day.
The wedding was filled with so much warmth and joy in the room. Both the groomsmen and bridesmaid parties shared such a genuine bond and friendship with the couple. After we joined in their morning preparations – where Jonathan gave his groomsmen each their favourite flavoured liquors in small bottles, handed out in personalised gift boxes, while the ladies sat by the window, basking in daylight and reading to each other their love letters, shedding tears and sharing laughs – we were off to head to the beautiful chapel.
As the service went on smoothly, we couldn’t, of course, miss the fun photoshoot session for the couple and their bridal parties. They walked, danced, and laughed, and it was as if the world had spun back to just grant them their high school days back. The energy and love the couple and their friends shared was timeless, and seemed to have never aged a single minute from their early school days.
The guests and bridal party were scheduled for an exciting night at the George Ballroom in St. Kilda. A beautiful, lavish wedding venue that took us back in time. The charm came in the form of wooden floorboards, signature heritage walls, high ceilings, and intricate details. We were in awe, also, by the beautiful flowers and styling decked out in the ballroom especially for that evening.
Jonathan and Cynthia wasted no time in pulling off one of the best wedding receptions their friends could ever attend. There was a live strings performance, with violinists and cellists adding a loving ambience to the already beautiful scene. Guests started to pile in, and soon enough, chatter and warm greetings filled the room.
With games, live music, and heartwarming speeches, it was truly an unforgettable night. Not to mention extremely special for us, the Arla team, as we also reunited with all our clients in the reception too! Pictured in the last frame is our wedding team taking a group photo with our beloved couple of the day, Cynthia & Jonathan, and their close friends who we have also had the absolute pleasure of working with! From the bottom of our hearts, we’d like to thank the couple for trusting us to capture their beautiful wedding day, and also to all our clients we got to celebrate with that night! It’s always an absolute pleasure of ours to be able to tell each of your stories. This was a moment we’ll forever cherish.
