As far as romance goes, little heartwarming coincidences make stories that much more endearing. That is what makes us love Reynaldi and Reyvanie’s story that much more. It turns out, the two share more things in common than just the first three letters of their names. Starting as high school sweethearts themselves, both of them share a bond so sacred, we just can’t help but to share their story with you.
“I met him in junior high school. At first, I only knew him as my friend’s cousin, but a few times afterwards we shared the same class. We became closer as friends, because he would always try to annoy and tease me in class, haha!
That’s my first impression of him; that he was funny. Because back in high school he was still chubby and he carried this big backpack everywhere. A gamer boy too. I didn’t see him as my potential boyfriend or husband, at first… Really just as friends!
Back in high school we spent time playing games together all the time; it’s funny because that’s where we made our hearts grow together. Another memory is when he kissed me on the forehead, before we were about to begin our long-distance path. It was so unexpected of him and it made me so nervous! LOL.
He’s not a demanding person; he accepts me, just the way I am. He’s patient, loyal, and I really trust his commitment. He’s very blunt, and I know his words can sometimes leave a mark, but I know that he has a good heart, and that he’s not some sweet-talking guy who’s only good with words.
He also has a good sense of humour that matches mine, and when he does something, he gives it his all. He loves animals, which tells me he’ll take good care of our children. Now, a habit of his that always tickles my heart each time I see it, would be every time he shows love and affection to his dogs. I see him as a caring person, through that little gesture, even though I’m still expecting him to show just as much affection to me more often (haha!) There’s also a moment when we look into each other’s eyes, and we can understand what both of us are thinking, without the need to say anything. Just smiles.”
And now, hear from…
“In junior high school, I only knew that she was part of my cousin’s gang, lol. I hadn’t met her and hadn’t even known her name. But as seasons passed, we finally became acquainted and shared some classes together.
My first impression of her? Well- pretty, of course. And such a gaming maniac! Haha. She was one of those innocent, nerdy girls. A bit stingy with her test answers (no one was allowed to copy her work!), and also with her food (because she doesn’t share, sigh.) But that’s what makes her unique, and that’s what got me curious. Because it’s rare that you find a girl like that.
I love that she’s a no-drama kind of girl, and I think that’s crucial for a woman. She’s a hard-worker, and she keeps things simple, just as they are. She also loves dogs, and can play games! Because our relationship grew through online gaming (we were basically chatting everyday, past midnight and well into mornings, spendingtime on those games) I would say this would be one of my favourite memories. I play, she plays. A memory that I’ll never forget ever, is how we would play together in one of those internet cafes. Became friends, met up, and even ganged up with the people we met online. That was epic, haha.
She has this funny habit of never finishing her meals. It’s so hard for her to leave a clean plate; there’s always some leftovers, even if it’s just another spoonful of food. She always says it’s because she’s full, but it’s literally just one more bite. Can you imagine? It’s so infuriating! Hahah.
But anyway, here we go. It really tickles my heart when she loves and supports me on everything that I do, including dogs stuff hahah. Also how she managed to bear with me when I was out of the country to study, for 4+ years. A.k.a long distance. The rainstorms, the dirty, muddy, rocky, bitter, sweet, salty, spicy stuff; we’ve been through it all. And when those things attack, we always handle it. My heart pounds each time I see her as such an understandable figure, including how she always understands me.”
So lastly… What would you like to say, to one another?
Reynaldi: “Be who you are. Always say what you feel. And thank you. For the passionate, and never-ending love.”
Reyvanie: “I want to thank you for putting faith in me. We’ve been through so much, from our older days as just these little kids, to now, where we are matured and have grown, and yet you still stick me. Even if there’s still a lot to figure out ahead, I hope we can stand for each other, and build a strong relationship.
I love you so much. Let’s grow old together.”
